I have been asked to drop you a quick email with some thoughts on Finance Wales

Finance Wales is invaluable to the Welsh economy and the lending market. It gives us an edge and to have the ability to access finance for clients where there is some gap funding required is extremely helpful. As a broker it allows us to achieve deals that without Finance Wales we may not get done. I am sure that all businesses will agree. And they are more important now than ever with the lack of general bank funding in the market place. Whatever banks tell you they aren’t lending freely, even to good clients. If they are the terms are horrific and the deal turnaround time can be 6 months or more.

My only criticism of Finance Wales would be the process. This seems to be quite slow and cumbersome even for small deals. The people on the ground are great but seem constrained by form filling etc etc.

Personally it would be a disaster if this were not available for us/Welsh Businesses.
